Innovative leaders enhancing the lives of people facing the challenges of aging.
The WCA provides long-term care & Alzheimer and dementia support services. In doing this, we seek to apply learning and advance knowledge. In fulfilling our mission, we:
- Support the elderly to maintain their independence and quality of life
- Help caregivers cope with the challenges of supporting family members who are aging and/or living with long-term or life threatening illnesses
- Work to identify and fill gaps in service in London and region.
Building on our legacy of service to the community, we live by these values:
We strive to understand the needs, realities and hopes of those we serve and we advocate passionately on their behalf.
We are responsible stewards of the resources given to us in trust. We accept our obligations to the individuals we serve and we collaborate with others to improve the quality of life in our community.
We are ethical, fair and sensitive in our relationships with others. We provide an environment in which the individual has an opportunity to make a difference.
We endeavour to provide the best possible experience and care to those we serve. We encourage intellectual curiosity and have the courage to explore new ideas.
WCA is committed to providing and maintaining an organization that ensures a Code of Ethics that is consistent with its mission, vision and values. WCA affirms that the conduct of all members of the WCA family is consistent with the above, and that residents/clients/members, staff, visitors, volunteers, program leaders, students, caregivers and service providers are all treated with dignity and respect.
